Since I picked up a camera in 2017, I've found myself gravitating towards black and white photography. The absence of color allows me to focus on the essence of the moment, stripping away distractions and revealing the raw beauty in each shot. Perhaps my ADHD brain appreciates the simplicity, but it’s in these monochrome images that I truly express my artistic vision.

 

Embracing a monochrome-only approach in 2024 is both a bold challenge and a refreshing relief. While I will still explore color in my art photography and commercial projects like interiors, the remainder of my work will be stripped down to the beauty of black and white. This shift allows me to focus on the essence of my subjects, capturing emotions and textures in a new light. I'm excited to see how this journey unfolds and I will of course, be accompanied by the incredible Leica Q2 Monochrom.
